Her Story
From Aberdeen to Mission Bay
Built for the Pacific Northwest. Restored for San Diego.
Bluebill was launched in 1993 by Shaw Boats of Aberdeen, Washington, a working yard on Grays Harbor.
The Shaw yard later became Westport's Hoquiam facility, which is why boats of her vintage carry the Shaw-Westport name: Westport build DNA at a size that slips into Mission Bay without a second thought.
She was purchased in Long Beach in 2020 by her second owners, brought south to San Diego, and retrofitted over the following four years. She has been running private charters out of Mission Bay ever since.

Licensed captains, local knowledge
Trips for up to six passengers are operated by licensed, experienced captains with extensive knowledge of San Diego's local waters, offshore fishing grounds and boating conditions. Bareboat charters for groups of 7–12 guests use an independent captain selected and paid directly by the charterer.

Questions
Before you step aboard
How many guests can come aboard?
Up to six guests on a normal captain-and-crew charter, the federal passenger limit for an uninspected passenger vessel. Groups of 7-12 run under a bareboat charter structure, with the captain hired separately by your group. Every trip is private to your group.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. Bring whatever you would like aboard, alcohol included. A refrigerator and a cooler with ice keep everything cold.
Are kids and pets welcome?
Yes to both. Child-size life jackets are aboard, and well-behaved pets are welcome too.
What should we bring?
Layers, sun protection, and any food and drink you want for the day. On fishing trips, all gear, bait and tackle are provided.
Where do we meet?
Guest pickup is at 1548 Quivira Way in Mission Bay, San Diego - the ABC pickup dock next to Aquarius Bar & Grille (Bluebill's home port is 1500 Quivira Way). Arrive about 20 minutes early.
What happens if the weather turns?
The captain watches the forecast and makes the final call. If Bluebill or the captain cancels because of unsafe weather, mechanical problems or another operational issue, you can reschedule or receive a full refund.
